The Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Care & Research Center, newly named the Judith Jaffe Multiple Sclerosis Center, provides the latest diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with multiple sclerosis, optic neuritis, and other autoimmune, inflammatory demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system. The program is dedicate to providing comprehensive patient care through a coordinated multidisciplinary approach of relevant clinical departments, including designated specialists from neurology, urology, psychiatry, rehabilitative medicine, physical and occupational therapy, and clinical social work services. The Center, which is recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, provides the most current treatment protocols available for multiple sclerosis, including approved and novel investigational therapies.

$5 Million Gift Establishes Judith Jaffe Multiple Sclerosis Unit at Weill Cornell Medical College - The Feil Family Foundation, with matching funds from the Dean's Challenge, has pledged $5.33 million to establish the new Judith Jaffe Multiple Sclerosis Unit at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. The Unit is named for Gertrude and Louis Feil's daughter Judith Jaffe. We moved into the Jaffe Multiple Sclerosis Unit in April of 2007 and are located in the Weill Cornell Medical College's historic new Ambulatory Care and Medical Education Building on York Ave. and 70th Street.

Office hours for the MS center are Monday- Friday 9:00 am -5:00 pm

Initial Appointment
1. We request that all new patients arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time to allow time for registration.
2. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you bring the following information to your initial evaluation
  • MRI films (including brain and spinal cord)
  • Duplicate copies of your medical records which should include: pertinent physician reports, MRI reports, laboratory results (blood and spinal fluid), and reports of any electrophysiology testing (evoked potentials, EMG/NCS)
  • A list of your current medications including dosages and frequency
  • Name and contact information of primary medical physician and local treating neurologist
  • Insurance information (including referral if required)

New and follow-up patients:
If you belong to an insurance plan or HMO that requires a referral for your evaluation, you are required to bring this to your appointment. If you do not have your referral, we will not be able to evaluate you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request that you provide us with a 24 hour notification of this change.
