Dr. Miari maintains a private practice in General Adult Psychiatry and Reproductive Psychiatry, and her practice is open for consultations, Pharmacotherapy, Psychotherapy, and Psychoanalysis.
Dr. Miari completed a post-doctoral degree in neuro-psychopharmacology research at Milan's Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research. Her published research includes studies on the Pharmacology of serotonin, benzodiazepine and glutamate receptors, and the role of glutamate in Neuro-degenerative diseases.
She trained in psychiatry at the Weill Cornell Medical College, Payne Whitney Manhattan.
As a full time faculty member at Weill Cornell, Dr. Miari works as an Attending Psychiatrist in the Weill Cornell Students' Mental Health Service, teaches General Psychiatry to Weill Cornell medical students, supervises Psychiatry residents in training, and is a contributing member of the Women's Mental Health Program, specializing in Reproductive Psychiatry, at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Miari completed training in Adult Psychoanalysis at The New York Psychoanalytic Institute, where she continues to be an active member.
