The Payne Whitney-Manhattan Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Practice is designed to respond to requests from families, educators and community service providers. Children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families receive comprehensive assessments that lead to treatment recommendations.

Coordination with Childhood and Adolescent Psychiatry is the Childhood Bereavement Program headed by Dr. Cynthia Pfeffer. The program offers a comprehensive approach to the evaluation and treatment of bereavement due to loss of long-term separation from a loved one or the death of relatives, friends or other significant individuals, either by illness, accidents, suicide or homicide.
