The Cardiac Catheterization unit at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center has state-of-the-art laboratories with the most modern technical equipment. The procedures performed in the lab include angiography, balloon angioplasty, stenting, rotational atherectomy, directional coronary atherectomy, thrombectomy, valuloplasty, trans-septal catheterization, and intravascular ultrasound. We are also on the cutting edge of innovative research as well as intravascular brachytherapy for the treatment of restenosis. We have six experienced interventional cardiologists who perform the procedures listed above.
