Dr. Charles P. Pollak received his M.D. Degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He subsequently completed his Neurology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and he was a research fellow in Neuroscience from 1973-1975. He then was an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine until 1982. During that time he was the Co-director of the Sleep Wake Disorder Center at Montefiore Hospital. In 1982 he was recruited to Cornell where he became an Assistant Professor of Neurology in Psychiatry as well as Director of the Division of Neurology at New York Hospital Cornell-Medical Center Westchester Division. He also became head of the Sleep-Wake Disorder Center at New York Hospital Cornell-Medical Center and Director of Institute of Chronobiology. He was promoted to Associate Professor of Neurology in 1987 and remained there as Associate Professor until 1994. In 1995 Dr. Pollak became Professor of neurology as well as the Director of the Division of Sleep Medicine at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He has also been certified as a Clinical Polysomnographer from the Association of Sleep Disorder Centers.
