Diane Berson, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and an Assistant Attending physician at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Her practice is located at the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center where Dr. Berson works as part of a multidisciplinary team, treating patients from New York and abroad. Having completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, Dr. Berson pursued her medical education at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Berson completed her residency at State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where she served as Chief resident during her final year of training.

Dr. Berson’s practice focuses on medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous oncology. Dr. Berson provides a thorough full body skin evaluation for all new patients as the incidence of skin cancer, especially melanoma, is increasing and affects both young and older patients. The evaluation of patients for skin cancer is one of Dr. Berson’s areas of expertise.

In addition to the medical and surgical care she provides, Dr. Berson has an interest in the treatment of acne, particularly in adults. She has performed clinical trials and published extensively in acne and rosacea, and has been quoted recently in both the "Wall Street Journal" and the "New York Times" to comment on the increased incidence in adult acne. She also provides a host of cosmetic dermatological procedures including the treatment of wrinkles, sun-damaged skin, blotchiness and melasma. The full range aesthetic therapies that Dr. Berson provides include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, filler therapies such as Restylane, Botox and collagen injection, laser treatment of capillaries and spider vessels, medical therapy for hair loss, and medical and laser treatment for unwanted hair.
