Dr. Gouras is a neurologist and neuroscientist with expertise in neurodegenerative diseases of aging, especially those associated with cognitive and memory decline. In the Laboratory of Alzheimer's Disease Neurobiology, he and his colleagues are trying to elucidate the molecular and cellular biology of Alzheimer's disease with the goal of developing novel treatment strategies for this ever more prevalent disease of aging.
