Dr. Caporaso received his M.D. degree from Cornell University Medical College and his Ph.D. from The Rockefeller University in New York. He trained in internal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center before completing his neurology residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Caporaso also completed a clinical fellowship in memory disorders at Cornell and a research fellowship in neurobiology at The Skirball Institute of the New York University School of Medicine. He is certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is currently an Assistant Attending Neurologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition, Dr. Caporaso is the Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medical College. Both his clinical and research interests focus on multiple sclerosis.
