Emmi: Learn about Your Gastroenterology Procedure Beforehand

The Division opened its world-class hepatitis C Center in 2000. The Center?s mission is to improve our understanding of the biologic properties of the hepatitis C virus, the mechanisms by which it causes damage to the liver, to identify new research-based treatment for this disease, and to improve the lives of millions of infected people. The Center has added an enhanced component of public health and epidemiology. A cooperative endeavor of Weill Medical College of Cornell University, The Rockefeller University, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, this is the only comprehensive, multidisciplinary center dedicated to the study of hepatitis C in the tri-state area.

The unique collaborative environment allows prominent scientists and dedicated physicians to work together towards advancements in outstanding patient care, clinical trials, clinical research, basic science research, and education and outreach.
