Dr. Hurley's practice is restricted to diseases of the thyroid gland. He has over 40 years experience in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease. His primary interests are Graves? disease and thyroid cancer. He has special expertise in the use of radioiodine in the treatment of these conditions. He has boards in Nuclear Medicine as well as Internal Medicine and for over 30 years was in charge of radioiodine treatment at The New York Hospital. His primary research interest is in the long-term follow-up of patients with Graves? disease and thyroid cancer.
Dr. Hurley is active in teaching medical students, interns, residents, endocrine fellows and post-graduate physicians about all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease. He also has a strong interest in patient education.
