Dr. LaScalea completed his residency in Primary Care/Internal Medicine at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. His strong interest in community affairs has led him to direct a crisis hotline while in college, as well as work as an educator in adolescent substance abuse prevention. Dr. LaScalea is also a winner of the 2001 Barbara Zucker Traveling Fellowship in Clinical Infectious Diseases. His travel to Africa has further inspired interest in international health.
