Dr. Bleiberg is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. She completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Bleiberg has worked on numerous clinic trials investigating medication and psychotherapeutic treatments for various patterns of depression. She has expertise in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), a time-limited, diagnosis-targeted, empirically validated treatment that focuses on current interpersonal difficulties. Dr. Bleiberg has adapted IPT for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, depression following pregnancy loss and borderline personality disorder.

Dr. Bleiberg is currently the program coordinator of the Payne Whitney Women's Program. She also has a private practice in which she provides both short and long-term psychotherapy for patients with depression, anxiety and interpersonal difficulties related to life transitions, relationship issues, medical illness, grief, pregnancy loss, postpartum difficulties and past abuse and other traumas. Additionally, she is experienced in treating patients who have only partially responded to pharmacotherapy and who may benefit from the addition of psychotherapy.
