Dr. Larissa Hirsch is an Instructor in Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Pediatrician in the Division of General Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is board certified in Pediatrics. A native of New York City, Dr. Hirsch completed her undergraduate work at Brown University in Providence, RI. In 2002, she received her M.D. at SUNY-Stony Brook School of Medicine. From 2003-2005, Dr. Hirsch completed her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where her contribution was recognized with a Distinguished Housestaff award; she served as Chief Resident at from 2005-2006.
In addition to her work at NYPH/WCMC, Dr. Hirsch serves as a medical editor for KidsHealth.org, the most-visited website about children and their health, from before birth through adolescence. She also writes "Top Papers of the Month," a popular monthly column in Consultant for Pediatricians. From 2006-2007, she served as a Fellow at the Nemours Center for Children?s Health Media in Wilmington, Delaware, where she was co-investigator on a project regarding pediatric resident education beakthroughs and advances.
