Dr. Lisa Kern is an Assistant Professor of Public Health and Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
Her research focuses on the evaluation of screening and diagnostic tests in primary care. Dr. Kern is particularly interested in the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of screening, the selection of patients for screening, physicians' adherence to guidelines on screening and diagnosis, and patients' experiences with screening and diagnosis. She is currently exploring these issues as they relate to osteoporosis, diabetes, high cholesterol and coronary artery disease.
