The Neuropsychiatry Practice at the Westchester Division has services which include psychiatric evaluation and treatment of adult outpatients with a variety of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, including epilepsy, dementia, stroke, head injury, mental retardation, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, AIDS, etc. Reasons for referral include:

  • Mood and anxiety disorders in the context of neurologic illness
  • Change in mental status
  • Behavioral disturbances
  • Problems coping with illness
  • Diagnostic uncertainty


Assessment of cognitive and emotional functioning of patients with psychiatric, neuropsychiatric and neurological disease. The comprehensive evaluation determines whether there is brain dysfunction and its effects on cognitive and emotional functioning.



The clinic provides state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluations for a wide variety of neuropsychiatric and suspected neurological conditions. Neurodevelopment, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational evaluations of children from birth through high school age are focuses of studies on neurologic functions of cognitive and learning abilities such as ADHD, memory executive functioning, psychiatric disorders such as autism, depression, and anxiety.
