Dr. Panida Piboolnurak received her medical degree from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. She completed her Internal Medicine Internship and attended a year of Neurology Residency Training at Southern Illinois University. Afterward, she continued and completed her Neurology Residency at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She had a fellowship training in Movement Disorders and Clinical Motor Physiology for Movement Disorders at the Neurological Institute, Columbia University. Subsequently, she had a fellowship training in Movement Disorder Surgery at University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Piboolnurak is specialized in the diagnosis and management of Parkinson's disease, Parkinsonism, and Other Movement Disorders such as dystonia, chorea, myoclonus, ataxia, tic disorders, restless leg syndrome, and various types of abnormal involuntary movements. Her main interests are in deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson's disease and other Movement Disorders, botulinum toxin injections for Movement Disorders and Spasticity, and Motor Physiology of Movement Disorders.

In addition to the general clinical care for the patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, Dr. Piboolnurak works with a multidisciplinary team of specialists including neurosurgeons, neurophysiologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, neuroradiologists, physical therapists and occupational therapists in order to provide an excellent care for the patients, who require the treatment with deep brain stimulation (DBS).
