The Westchester Division Personality Disorders Practice is a division of the Department of Psychiatry that provides assessment and treatment for those with Borderline or Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Borderline Personality Disorder is a persistent pattern of unstable mood, intense and unstable relationships and identity confusion. Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a persistent pattern of grandiosity, hypersensitivity to the evaluation of others, and lack of empathy that begins early in adulthood and is present in a variety of contexts.

Treatment of both may include individual, group or family therapy, structure, support, medicines, limit-setting, consistent rules, education about the illness, social skills training, behavior modification and learning healthy communication and coping skills.
