Dr. Storch maintains a private practice in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry at Payne Whitney Westchester.
As a full time faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College Dr. Storch works as an attending psychiatrist at New York Presbyterian Hospital's Westchester Division. In addition to his inpatient clinical duties; he teaches general psychiatry to Weill Cornell medical students and supervises psychiatry residents in training. In the past Dr. Storch has worked as a psychiatric consultant for the New York City Board of Education and ran the adolescent division of the Yonkers Day Treatment Program, a joint project of the Rockland Children's Psychiatric Center and the Yonkers Board of Education.
He has particular expertise working with and understanding the needs of the orthodox Jewish population and worked closely for many years with Ohel Children's Home and Family Services, a social service agency catering to the needs of the orthodox Jewish community.
Dr. Storch completed a Masters Degree in psychology at New York University where he completed a thesis on visually evoked cortical responses in the human brain. Following his medical school training at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Dr. Storch completed a residency in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan.
Dr. Storch believes that the integration of the individual's
spiritual, religious and cultural beliefs is crucial to the proper
care of patients. He believes in empowering patients and their families to take an active role in their clinical care.
