Robert J. Min, MD received his medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. Dr. Min completed an internship in surgery and a residency in diagnostic radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Min received additional subspecialty fellowship training in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology at Stanford University Medical Center. He is Founder and Director of Cornell Vascular, Associate Professor and Acting Chairman of Radiology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and Acting Radiologist-in-Chief at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Min has specialized in the treatment of venous disease for the past fifteen years. He has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American College of Phlebology, the largest phlebology society in the United States, and Chairs the Venous Forum for the Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Min has pioneered the development of minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, including Transcatheter Duplex-Guided Sclerotherapy, and most recently Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT?), perhaps the most significant advancement in the treatment of venous insufficiency over the past few decades. His other areas of clinical and research interest include non invasive treatments of tumors, in particular MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS). Dr. Min is Principal Investigator on IRB-approved studies exploring MRgFUS treatment of Uterine Fibroids, Breast Fibroadenoma and Breast Cancer.

Dr. Min has written book chapters on venous disorders and has authored or co-authored over thirty scientific articles and abstracts on vascular conditions. He currently serves as a Reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Interventional Radiology, the Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, and several other journals. In addition to being invited as Guest Editor for Techniques in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Dr. Min has been chosen for the journal?s Editorial Review Board. Dr. Min has been interviewed as an expert on venous disease by every major local and national television network (including Good Morning America and The Early Show), featured in countless publications (including The New York Times), and is an invited lecturer throughout the world. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Phlebology, American Society of Laser Medicine, and other radiological and venous-related societies.
