Osorio, S. Nena
Nena Osorio, M.D. is a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is an Assistant Attending Pediatrician in the Department of Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Campus and Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College. She also serves as the Medical Director for General Inpatient Pediatrics.
Dr. Osorio graduated in 1985 from the University of Belgrade School of Medicine where she earned her M.D. In 1987, she became a Visiting Fellow in the department of Physiology and Biophysics of Cornell University Medical College. In 1990, she was appointed Postdoctoral Associate in the same department. During her research years she published three articles in the area of renal physiology.
She was a Pediatric Resident at NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College from 1992 to 1995. Dr. Osorio served as Chief Resident at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center from 1995 to 1996. After completing her residency training, Dr. Osorio was in private practice in New York City for seven years before joining the Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2003 as a general pediatrician. In addition to her general practice, Dr. Osorio is involved with teaching pediatric residents and medical students in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
