Sima Toussi, MD is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Weill Cornell Medical College. Board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Dr. Toussi is an accomplished clinician. Her areas of interest include HIV-infection in children and adolescents and travel/global medicine.
An alum of Barnard College, Dr. Toussi received her medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School. She returned to New York to complete her residency training in pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She remained at Albert Einstein to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, where her research focused on HIV infection and pathogenesis.
Throughout her medical career, Dr. Toussi has demonstrated her strong commitment to helping underserved communities. She has worked in various settings, from a women's health clinic in Tehran, Iran to a pediatric hospital in New Mexico where she cared for children from the Gallup Indian Reservation.
Clinical interests: HIV infection and pathogenesis, opportunistic infections in compromised hosts, travel medicine, recurrent fevers, and lyme disease
